Psychiatric Service & Emotional Support Training

VIBE Emotional Support Dog Training Program
Dogs as emotional support animals are very beneficial to persons suffering from depression, social phobias, or sense of well-being. These persons benefit greatly from the presence of the emotional support dog and many find the dogs an integral part of their recovery and/or daily function.

An emotional support animal is an animal that provides a therapeutic benefit to its owner through companionship. The animal provides emotional support and comfort to individuals with psychiatric disabilities and other mental impairments. The animal is specifically trained to perform tasks for a person who suffers from emotional disabilities. Unlike a service animal, an emotional support animal is not always granted access to places of public accommodation.

Our VIBE Emotional Support Dog Program will train your dog key behaviors that will greatly assist you by creating a deeper bond with your dog, as well as assist your emotional needs. Some of the training offered is very similar to the training we do for Service dogs, such as:

1) Dog will be trained to be calm and orderly in public places.
2) Dogs will be trained in all basic obedience
3) Public Access test training to include: Shopping centers, parks, downtown, crowded environments.
4) Dog will be trained to “place” on command and a hold “place” for extended time periods.
5) Dog will be trained to leave it and drop it. This teaches the dog that it cannot pick up anything off of the ground or floor in any area.

Program includes:

  • 3 weeks of training in our home

  • Public Access test training sessions with you

  • Public Access Test

  • ESA Vest upon passing Public Access Test

  • Continued support

ESA Program starts at $3000. Contact us for a specific quote. We are happy to accommodate specific needs to cater the program to you, so please contact us with any questions.
